the MidwayYouthMinistry’s Stinky Santa Christmas Party is Sunday, December 4th, 5:30pm-8:30pm at the Crooked Creek Clubhouse. Bring a “stinky” gift for our white elephant style gift exchange. On top of all that craziness, we’ll also eat a fabulous dinner together, gorge ourselves on sweets, drink hot chocolate, and enjoy the neighborhood lights. Don’t forget a jacket!

Operation Christmas Child 2011

Again this year, your family has a unique opportunity to share the love of Christ with a needy child using a simple shoe box. We collected over 200 shoe boxes last year, each of which will reach a child in a troubled country like Uganda or El Salvador with the Gospel message.

Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse. Samaritan’s Purse is a Christian ministry led by Franklin Graham, the son of Dr. Billy Graham. People across the country are filling shoe boxes with small toys, school supplies, hygiene items, and other meaningful gifts.

Boxes and instructions are available at the church, and are due back no later than Sunday, November 13.

This Christmas season, a needy child overseas will receive our shoe boxes, along with Christian literature in his or her own language. What an opportunity to reach these children with a clear presentation of the Gospel!

This year, we have significantly increased our goal. There are still boxes (containing instructions) to be picked up at the entrance to the Church if you haven’t done so already. While Midway supplies one box per family, you are encouraged to procure additional boxes and follow the instructions! Thanks to ALL those families who will be a part of this exciting opportunity to share God’s love with a hurting child.
